Lego…

Lego is a 3rd declension verb that goes like rego (rego, regere, rexi, rectum – has there ever been a funnier verb?). There’s a jolly website here that is full of third declension related fun and frolics. It seems to mean variously; I read, I pick out, I choose – but I am sure that you are much better qualified to define it than I.

My niece and nephew are very into Lego(tm) which means that their uncle has to buy very expensive kits for them to enjoy (to which I don’t for one moment object) although I think a lot of fun can be had using the pieces to produce completely different structures. Some of the YouTube community are kind enough to post their efforts online.

This bloke has built a printer (admittedly using LegoTechnic which may be regarded as cheating).

Or you might make an absurdly complicated structure.

But my favourite ones are the stop-motion movies – too numerous to mention although I like the animated Star Wars stories. This one is Episodes 1 to 3 in under 2.5 minutes.

Lower tech efforts are good too! You may recognise this Monty Python sketch from my lessons on critical thinking and logical fallacies.

I have written about stop-motion before, and given the technology available at your fingertips you really ought to produce a video for my blog. Come on, give it a go!
