Don’t Believe Your Lying Eyes…

This entry is part 6 of 6 in the series Magic & Illusions

Not really magic – it is science but optical illusions so magic-adjacent. I thought about this because of a question on a Winchester Election paper about strobe lighting. They are two quite long videos but I thought they were worth sharing, particularly for those who like optical illusions. They left me baffled but delighted.

.

..

If you have gone to the trouble of watching both of those videos I think you should be spared questions. You have worked hard enough.

    1. Very cool sir!
I am quite bamboozled by this,
it’s cool that colour is influenced by surroundings!
Did you know that Every eye colour — yes, even green — is actually some shade of brown, thanks to the melanin inside the iris. Light bounces off this melanin in different ways and creates a sort of optical illusion, allowing us to see vibrant greens and blues! This is another cool fact to do with eyes, and colour!
      Great post!
