  1. How many pairs of chromosomes does a human have?
  2. What is a zygote?
  3. One of the videos refers to mitochondrial DNA. This is DNA not found in the nucleus but in the mitochondria. What do mitochondria do in the cell?
  4. What are the two chromosomes called that determine your sex?
  5. What is the difference between mitosis & meiosis (apart from the spelling!) [Hint: they both mean ‘cells dividing’]
