Uptown Brilliance…

This entry is part 4 of 1 in the series Reasons To Practise

To be really good at something takes dedication.

You have to do the work, even if you are already talented. On duty last night I spotted a few boys working when everybody else was out having fun. They were all high achievers. It occurred to me, not for the first time, that one of the things that successful people share is a willingness to work hard.

The following very light-hearted video includes several people who have worked extremely hard to be where they are. I did not know that there were so many ways to get down a flight of stairs!

The person who edited the video to make all the dance moves fit the music has spent hundreds of hours honing their craft. The dancers have worked tirelessly for years to develop the flexibility and athletic prowess to perform the various stunts, and Bruno Mars has worked his way up from very humble beginnings. Superstars all!

Very many thanks to GIJP for this recommendation. Possibly, for those sufficiently youthful that it will be remarkable, there may be prizes for correctly naming some of the dancers. Leave timings from the video and names in the comments below.
